Script Information

Matthew's latest play Attack of the Attacking Attackers! (co-created with Jonathon Oxlade, Lucas Stibbard and Neridah Waters)
was performed at La Boite Theatre Company in 2008 and was awarded a Matilda Award for Best New Australian Work.

His play, Summer Wonderland, was performed by La Boite Theatre Company for their 2007 season and is currently in development as a feature film with New Holland Pictures, with Matthew as screenwriter.
 
Matthew’s play, The Dance of Jeremiah, won the 2000 George Landen Dann Award and was performed by the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2000. The Dance of Jeremiah was produced by La Boite Theatre Company as part of their 2005 season.

Summer Wonderland and The Dance of Jeremiah were published together by PlayLab Press in 2007.
  
His play, Julia Rose, was selected for Queensland Theatre Company’s “The Works 2003”,
receiving workshops and public readings at American Repertory Theatre in America, Royal Exchange Theatre in England, Necessary Stage in Singapore and Theatre Network in Canada. In 2005, it was shortlisted for Sydney Theatre Company’s Patrick White Award.

Matthew’s play, So You Die a Little (co-written with Tony Brockman), was performed by Pandemonium Theatre in 1998 and short-listed for the Queensland Theatre Company’s 1999 George Landen Dann Award.

Matthew has several plays and filmscripts currently in development. He is a co-founder of theatre-making group The Escapists and is a workshop facilitator for Backbone Youth Arts.
